This is similar mechanism which is used in <span class="command"><strong>sudo</strong></span>. </p><p> When an application opens a session using <span class="emphasis"><em>pam_timestamp</em></span>, a timestamp file is created in the <span class="emphasis"><em>timestampdir</em></span> directory for the user.
